Scottie Wilbekin

As discussed on the tournament thread, the SEC Player of the Year may not be drafted. I find that hard to believe, no matter how many times I read he is "undersized." (Wink, wink.)

What else is going on here?

 

He's undersized. It's not uncommon among good college players. Some have the ability to still produce, most don't. Nothing strange.

 

Shouldn't you add Stauskas' name in the thread, too?

 

Stauskus is 6-foot-6 and is a sophomore who hasn't actually declared. He makes a higher percentage of three-point shots than Wilbekin makes two-point shots. NBA Draft Express has him projected as the No. 16 pick.

 

6'6? Come on. I'll give him 6'2 at best.

Stauskas is 6-6. Wilbekin is 6-2.

 

Maybe it's the camera angles then because every time I watch Michigan on TV he looks 6'0.

 

Wilbekin was the SEC Player of the Year. It's tough for me to believe he wouldn't be drafted. I'm surprised people aren't more suspicious.

 

He's a white jump shooter, so you assume he's Steve Alford/Mark Price/Jimmer Fredette/J.J. Redick/etc.

But I do support his right to marry another 6'6 white jump shooter, so it evens out.
