    You learn something new every day. I don't see "mirk" finding its way into my vocabulary except when discussing the woods where the elves were in The Hobbit.

    But it's still nice to know. And man, it looks stupid in print. What the hell's wrong with "killed," "murdered," or my personal favorite, "walloped."
