Jason, I understand what you're saying, and I appreciate that you like to use a different voice for different venues, like an actor playing parts. I think it's healthy for a writer to try out other voices. But I think you should appreciate that what you write here -- on a message board -- might have as much impact, at least in terms of defining your persona, as any one of your columns. And if you're calling someone out for the way he presents himself (probably rightly, by the way), then I think you need to careful about how you present yourself, too. By guarding someone the way you guard Scoop, you're automatically holding yourself up to a higher standard. That's all I was saying.
