LOS ANGELES (AP) — A spokesman says sometime actor, literary agent, magazine editor and full-time bon vivant Forrest J Ackerman has died.

The man who discovered author Ray Bradbury and was widely credited with coining the term "sci-fi" was 92.

Kevin Burns, head of Prometheus Entertainment and a trustee of Ackerman's estate, says Ackerman died Thursday of heart failure at his Los Angeles home.

and all the great old sci-fi farts.. in fact, with Arthur C. Clarke going, I think they're all gone. Love me some "Childhood's End."
