just when I was ready to add the Vina (Ala.) Red Devils. Slappy missed this one because, quite frankly, Vina never sniffs the playoffs in any sport.

 

So what exactly are blue devils and why do so many schools want to identify with them?

 

Do they still have the girls basketball/softball coach who recruited his wife out of the, ahem, "talent pool?"

 

Hey, my newspaper's style is Gurnee Warren. If it's not an area school, we preceed it with the city in which the school is located.

 

Y'know, there are a lot of people in Illinois who would have stopped that phrase after "IHSA."
