Can't wait until someone picks him in a fantasy draft.

I was having this conversation at the bar last night ... the differences between Schilling and Clemens. You know, what happened to Schilling around age 40 is what's supposed to happen to a pitcher. He gets old. His body breaks down. He can't recover from an injury and is done. The fact that Clemens continued to pitch in almost cyborg-like fashion in his early 40s is a pretty damning indictment that he was putting something in his body he shouldn't have.

What about Nolan Ryan, Phil Neikro, Don Sutton and Greg Maddux? They have similar stats in their 40's to Clemens.

Well, Clemens also seemed obsessed with working out. Schilling, less so.

Niekro was a knuckleballer so I'm not sure he'd be a good comparison.

    Ryan was a workout freak.

As for the other two, they weren't really power pitchers.

For most pitchers, it happens a whole lot earlier than 40. But you'd expect there to be a few outliers.

So, how soon before he shows up as a color guy for Fox's game of the week?

Charlie Hough wants some of that action.

Yeah, Hough, Maddux, Niekro were all finesse pitchers. Moyer too. He's not throwing a 90 MPH splitter at age 43. Again, just bar talk, no definitive research or anything.

I was joking. I believe Clemens was a cheat.
