Scambaiting ... very funny stuff

    Maybe I'm the last one in the world to hear about this, but I just discovered it and I think it's hilarious.

    You know all those scam emails from Nigerian princes looking to unload 15 million bucks, blah blah... Well, apparently there are people who engage these scammers in a sort of reverse-scam. Only you don't get money out of the people, but instead engage them in all sorts of time-wasting activities.

    For example, one guy had a scammer make him a wooden bust of his head, another had the scammer hand-copy a Harry Potter book.

    This web site details the email exchanges between the scammers and the scambaiters, and I've been laughing out loud reading some of these today.

  3. Ron Rosenbaum did a good story on this in last June's issue of The Atlantic. One person got a scammer to carve a Commodore 64 keyboard out of wood. The pic is with the article.
