    Score one for newspapers. Well done by The State.

    So, to this point he's been:

    * Hiking the Appalachian Trail.
    * Getting some writing done.
    * Having some time away from the kids.
    * Driving along the coast of Buenos Aires.

    Some smartass cartoonist at The State had better come up with a "Where's Waldo?" style political cartoon about this whole thing, or I'll be sorely disappointed.

    Somehow, I can't shake the notion that there's a woman involved in this story. Stay tuned.

    A paper still has a political cartoonist?

    I'm voting for visiting illegitimate children. That or some shady business deal.

  6. Not that one. He was laid off earlier this year.

    The State did a good job of finding out what "driving the coast" in Buenes Aires would entail. From the story:

    "Trying to drive along the coast could frustrate a weekend visitor to Argentina. In Buenos Aires, the Avenida Costanera is the only coastal road, and it's less than two miles long. Reaching coastal resorts to the south requires a drive of nearly four hours on an inland highway with views of endless cattle ranches. To the north is a river delta of islands reached only by boat."

    Just watched the CNN report of this -- nothing original, just basically ripping off The State's reporting -- but the anchor couldn't read it without laughing.
    Kind of sad.

    Argentina has an A and a T.

    Can Sanford even spell Argentina if you spot him the A and the T?
