They were having a photo-op, their annual "design changes for home opener" deal this afternoon, which is why photographers and videographers were present.

Not saying that is, but this almost looks photoshopped:

Thankfully she wasn't too injured, but what I find hilarious is that her name is Alexa Rodriguez.

You really can't make this stuff up.

Remember that goose that attacked Fabio? I bet this hawk could kick its ass.

I wasn't aware that any photographers at major metros were capturing anything on film these days.

That hawk looks like he's about ready to take out the photog.

Well, the skin above the eyebrow gets lacerated.

Was it a joke that ESPN said the girl's name was Alexa Rodriguez?

Damn, never mind. I saw the link. That's unreal.

The AP moved some photos today to go with Fenway renovations. Basically, they got some suits moving from one place to another around Fenway, so I can see where the photog who might be there for the same assignment with the Boston papers might have stumbled across the hawk and -- like some photos, perhaps loving to take bird photos -- started to snap away.

I'm not sure if this is another reason to hate the Red Sox (letting hawks nest in their rafters and attack their fans!) or a reason to make red tailed hawks my favorite animal (for attacking Red Sox fans).

I guess it can be both. :D

Oh, and the ad at the bottom of the page is pitching "Red Tailed Hawk Ringtones." Only if it comes with the shrieks of aggrieved Sox fans. :p
