I don't know where to start, so I'll confine my main comments to this:

AP's Tallahassee Regional photo coverage on Saturday.

Four pictures move out of the afternoon knockout game between Stetson and Bethune Cookman.

Okay, that was pretty timely. I have high hopes for the main event.

    Nope.

Not a damned thing had moved at 10:30 p.m. Frantic phone calls, yada yada yada.

    Finally, two photos ... two.

One is pretty good, a play at the wall.

The other is a play at second. I got chunks of that kind of work in my stool, boyo.

The Mississippi State pitcher who started a three-hit shutout (he got some late-inning help)?

    Nope.

Now, quoting Kurt Vonnegut, I would like to address my remarks to the AP's man in Tallahassee:

You can take a flying f*ck at the mooooooooooon!

AP did a shit job on photos from the Cavs/Pistons game also, I thought.

Nothing dazzling, and I needed something dazzling for my front.

Even the LeBron shots sucked. Big-time.

I made it work, but AP didn't help me along.

Maybe we're asking for too much.

I, too, found the Cavs-Pistons art to be awfully pedestrian, and not nearly the selection to which we've become accustomed.

  5. Hejira, I suggest you require your beat man to take a camera with him and pull double duty. He'd love it!

    :)

And shoot video for the Web, too.
