HB, I'm up for coming down for the night, if I can. I have to check the board when I go back in later this week.

Also, I'll be getting a room if I go, in case any out-of-towners want to crash.

I have a feeling this will end up being the unofficial official SportsJournalists.com outing for 2007, seeing how Dallas has crashed and burned.

I had a blast tearing it up with Jones and the gang in March, and I'm looking forward to this.

A couple things:

1) This bar is in a central location. There are a ton of subway lines near the bar, plus cabs will be plentiful.

2) I do hope a lot of NY/LI/NJSportsJournalists.commers are able to make it.

3) I hope that if there are any out-of-towners in the NYC that weekend, they hit us up. We don't bite...unless the Mets are losing.

I'm off that weekend. It's only a six-hour drive...and if I share a hotel room...I could do the whole weekend for like $250.

Let me see if I can make it happen.

Well, I am in for the NYC trip. It's more feasible than the Dallas trip for me. I would be down to share a hotel room as well because I might not want to drive that night.

I'm down for the NYC gig. Muuuuch closer than Dallas would have been (who would have thought that a heartlander like me would ever say that???).

As I repeated on the other thread ... anyone coming down from the Boston area, I'm open to carpooling. One cautionary tale: I have to be back at work by 4 p.m. Sunday, so I'm leaving town relatively early (about 11 a.m.) on Sunday.

Whoever shares a room with me had better be willing to get late check-out. I don't plan on leaving the bar until I have to if I go.
