I'm pretty sure that Pelosi can tuck her rack into her belt.

There have been over 40 million people without health insurance for nearly two decades now. Time was, companies provided good health insurance to their loyal workers. That's no more.

There was no real middle class until FDR finally forced employers to at least pay a minimum wage. And people worked until they died. If someone got old, or sick and couldn't work, they were tossed out on the streets. FDR was the first president to say, "Hey, this ain't right. We're America. We're better than this."

As far as ridiculous taxes go, the top marginal tax rate in the U.S., during the biggest growth in the 20th century, hovered around 90 percent from the 1930s to 1964. In other words, for all the whining that the rich people are doing over how Obama is raising their taxes so much, in reality, they're paying a heckuva lot less than what they were 50 years ago.

Two decades ago - right after the government began meddling in health care with lunacy like the HMO act of 1972.

FDR was able to do whatever he did because he took over during a depression and got bailed out by a World War.

And we are paying a lot more in taxes - beyond the federal income tax, including sales, death, local, state, medicare taxes, SSI - then we ever were and if you think I'm wrong take the challenge that every single lefty around here seems to find some reason why he shouldn't and the challenge is this - right down every single penny you pay in taxes every day and see what it adds up to at the end of the month in terms of the actual percentage of your salary.

Sales taxes, gas taxes, silly sin taxes, health care taxes, investment taxes, property taxes, school taxes, utility taxes, inheritance taxes etc., etc., etc. -- they hurt the middle class far more than they hurt the rich or poor.

And any person who doesn't have at least one side job completely based in cash transactions is really not doing himself any favors.
