"She told the cheering crowd: "This is Reagan country, and perhaps it was destiny that the man who went to California's Eureka College would become so woven within and interlinked to the Golden State."

There's just one problem here: Reagan went to Eureka College in Illinois from 1928 to 1932, the Alaska Dispatch reports. He didn't move to California until five years after his graduation. There's no Eureka College in California (though there's a town of Eureka that has a College of the Redwoods nearby)."

That's almost as good as Ann Curry not knowing what college she was delivering the commencement address at:

Eureka is rightly proud of its Reagan ties.

Its not a politics thread until someone from the 'other side' posts an "Oh yeah? What about [insert person of opposing political party] doing this!!".

Is Palin still a politician, or just a dunce?

Can we discuss a gaffe without being political? Let's try...

The sentence itself is stupid. Why would you address a bunch of Californians, in California, by saying "California's Eureka College" even if it was correct?

Drop the "California's" and you could almost get away with the mistake.

She was referencing the Eureka College in the 57th state of Callinois.
Now the fun can begin :D
