Narcissism is Narcissism, regardless of party. Guy has a kid at home who has a serious illness and may not live very long and he finds it more important to campaign, raise money and speak out against porn on the internet.

If he's sincere about his family, then quit the race. Don't do the silly thing and suspend it.

 

And it still doesn't make it any more appropriate to gloss over the fact that his daughter may be dying.

 

Oh, I totally agree. I think it should have been asked six months or a year ago.

But then, we'd be hearing the shrieking of "The big, bad media is picking on his daughter!" even though it's a fair and legitimate question.

 

C'mon people, let's pull through this. There'll be a time and place to take up the cudgels, again.

 

I tend to give the guy with the sick kid the benefit of the doubt. And I abhor his politics and think he would be a terrible and scary President.

Of course he is a narcissist -- what politician isn't? We all make our work/family choices and one person's line is going to be different than another's.
