    It isn't true that they needed an ace or that Perez outpitched Maine last year?

    They need much more than an ace. They need an entire outfield minus the guy in center, a bullpen on which to rely and a competent manager to "manage" the team well.

    Perez = 15-10, 3.56 ERA, 174 K, 79 BB, 1.31 WHIP
    Maine = 15-10, 3.91 ERA, 180 K, 75 BB, 1.27 WHIP

    I would say Perez and Maine are pretty close.

    I would like to thank all of you who have extended your condolences.

    I'm going to go and throw myself off the Lake Street Bridge now.

    I'm right behind you. Want to stop at Bryant Lake for a beer, first?

    Don't forget the other side of the river, let's make a stop at Tiff's too.

    Only make mine Jack.

    Straight up.

    If you guys wait long enough, the bridge will probably collapse on its own from the weight of the entire Twin fan club joining you.

    Probably not the funniest joke.

    Don't do that. Instead, find Zeke and a bunch of other Twins fans and throw Pohlad off the bridge.

    Yeah, he's quite adept at sophomoric jokes in poor taste.

    OK,
    A: there must be something wrong with Santana;

    or

    B: Those four guys the Mets gave up will turn out to be superstars

    or C: both

    (Mets fan who hasn't seen many of the trades they make work out well).

    (edited to correct the number of players the Mets gave up).

    Just as a side note, and I know spnited will love this one, but I wonder how many Mets fans use their first fantasy pick on Santana? Does this move help or hurt his fantasy stock?
