    He or she will do fine. Five or six years from now he or she will have written his or her ticket to more prestige. That's the type of person he or she is. I know it. In the meantime, settle down for a year and really hone your chops, will ya?!

    I don't think it's sad at all. He's a young dude trying to make his way in this business, and he saw an opportunity to ask for some advice from a collection of people who have been through similar situations. It's really no different than asking any other friends/family/coworkers for advice.

    Congrats to the new reporter in San Marcos. I wish him the best of luck.

    Since we all know who it is, we might as well out the dude.

    By the way, job-hopping does not look good on a resume. I know from experience, and this person's job-hopping makes mine look like slow, refined progress.
