San Diego High Schooler skips senior season, turns pro

    San Diego high school basketball star Jeremy Tyler skips his senior year to sign with a pro team in Israel. Why, you ask? Why, high school ball was just too boring.
    Let the usual hand-wringing commence. I'm sure there's a few columnists who have this column saved as a template. If you can get paid to play, I say go for it. But there is something inherently wrong about this. It's one thing not to have a college degree. It's another thing entirely not to have a high school diploma.
