We have this debate here all the time, 'Gola.

My opinion is: With transcendent figures in major sports, and Baugh is certainly one of those, there is no excuse for at least knowing their names. I think it's too much to expect anyone to rattle off every stat or even what team he played for. The name should have rung a bell, that's all.

I don't understand why having historical grounding in whatever area you work in is even debatable. Imagine an architect walking into the boss' office and saying, "My client wants his building done in Art Deco. What is he talking about?"

What makes his passing a little different is that he has outlived almost everyone who watched him play.

In my office, my oldest co-worker is around 63, and he cannot remember seeing Baugh play.

Also, it's really nice to see an NFL player live to be 94.

RIP, but I'm sure he had a hell of a time with the life he was given.

    'Gola is good people.

Oh yeah, that cowgirl from Rotan was fabulous. She was too self-conscious about her tummy to do "cowgirl," however.

I was keeping silent until you tried snapping back about it.

Add a fuckensthee to me. No way you work in sports and you fail to recognize the name of Sammy Baugh. Sports Knowledge 101.
