The report I saw says it's a baseball only deal.

 

The next Drew Henson. Mark it down. This guy is overrated as an athlete, in my opinion.

 

He's an easier project than a position player. His numbers are there.

Don't know if he's any good or not, but for $8 mill guaranteed it's better than he could get from the NFL and no physical beating involved.

 

The Cubs are pretty good at identifying football talent. They had Quincy Carter in their system at one time and a guy who went on to play QB for LSU in the SEC title game a few years ago.

Last season's stats for Notre Dame. Nice record, but it seems like he got some good run support.

6+ innings a start isn't bad, and will probably increase, but the opponents batting average concerns me.
