    I'm cynical enough to think he's due a raise.

    But I'm human enough to just feel real bad for all the Tribune folks past and present who are getting pummeled by this guy. $20m a day? Wow!

    Silly premise.

    The bulk of the write-down came as a result of the Times-Mirror merger many years ago.

    Saying "Zell has lost $20M a day at Tribune" is just ignorant.

    The value was already lost. It just wasn't officially put on the books.
