    He had bariatric surgery (not sure if it was gastric bypass exactly or something similar). But yeah, the before-and-after pics are pretty jarring:

    Yep. Death, taxes, sunrise and Chef's prison rape joke every time there's a thread about someone facing criminal charges. Chef is to prison rape what poin is to teacher sex.

    I just finished the long, long piece in TheMMQB.com by Michael McKnight. Says Hurd smoked weed all day, every day, and was the supplier for a large contingent of Cowboys who did too. The most interesting part of the story is that he ended up in a federal prison right next to Daryl Henley and they talked about their cases.

    Hurd says he was duped. Of course he was. Says he just handed $88,000 to a friend who needed it, and then it all went bad for him just because he was the front money. And that when he met with what he thought was the Mexican cartel, he talked about all the weight he wanted to move just so he could sound tough.

    Oh, and all this happened a few months after Hurd talked to border agents about getting his $88,000 back after they had stopped his friend Tony with it. So, yeah, that wouldn't be time to cool it or anything.

    Still a lot of people in the old hometown who think he got railroaded.
