Also 100,000,000x the reporter and analyst.

Clayton takes craps that have more insight than Sean Salisbury.

Wanted to add: Heard Cris Carter this morning, who promptly dumped on Wes Welker in defense of his buddy Randy Moss. Called Moss the most brilliant player he'd ever played with. Oh Jesus.

Also said he had nobody significant to stump for him for the Hall of Fame. No great coaches or GMs.

Receivers-turned-analysts are the worst. The absolute worst. Weird agendas, play favorites, still think they can play. Ugh.

These idiots never get it: the money they get from ESPN is like money falling out of the sky. If he was making a half-mil from ESPN, he was being wonderfully paid. Why should he care what Emmitt or somebody like that was getting? It's not like his assignments changed to the point where he was reporting on Pop Warner football. He still had sweet analyst spots on SportsCenter and the daily NFL show. Seems like he was as big a jerk as he came across on the tube.

Much like ESPN, no one really likes Salisbury steaks.

Jocks have egos, even after they retire.
I met Salisbury once, he was nice, polite, thanked me for listening (He was on Patrick's show at the time).
But if he was being a dick off camera (or on), then farewell.

I thought a dick ON camera was one of his problems.
    Thank you.
    You're too kind.

Fact that a perceived cipher (in our view) like Trev Alberts got back on his feet far more swiftly than Chopped Steak did, tells you all you need to know.

He also has a weekday afternoon drive-time show on 105.3 The Fan:

I enjoyed his residency on Dan Patrick's ESPN Radio show. I'm not sure what happened between then and now but the guy's an absolute dick. Most of the programming on 105.3 The Fan isn't worth listening to. The recent addition of Arnie Spanier to the stations on-air "personalities" is like having J.T. The Brick, Jr. on your radio.
