    I'll always say "As The World Turns" is the state of the art, from Meg Ryan through Julianne Moore through Jordana Brewster...

    ATWT is generally considered one of the best-acted daytime shows and has long been a pipeline for young actors to get to the big screen.

    That being said, I haven't watched it for years because the writing and plots became so painfully bad. And one of the characters I liked is gone because the actor recently committed suicide.

    They may have another future star on the show now -- Jennifer Landon, the daughter of Michael Landon. Not drop-dead gorgeous, but she can act rings around even some of the veterans on the show. I expect she'll be moving on to bigger things soon.
