Saddest sitcom moments

This thread was a lot funner when it was about dead dogs and colonels.

 

Not to mention a young Marisa Tomei.

ATWT is generally considered one of the best-acted daytime shows and has long been a pipeline for young actors to get to the big screen.

That being said, I haven't watched it for years because the writing and plots became so painfully bad. And one of the characters I liked is gone because the actor recently committed suicide.

 

I don't watch soaps other than "Days," but I'd be inclined to give "Guiding Light" a shot after the Stanley Cup visited the set last spring and two of the show's stars filmed a scene with it for fun. Anybody who likes the Stanley Cup is okay in my books.

They may have another future star on the show now -- Jennifer Landon, the daughter of Michael Landon. Not drop-dead gorgeous, but she can act rings around even some of the veterans on the show. I expect she'll be moving on to bigger things soon.

 

That would be a young Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei.
