S.C. gator bites off golfer's arm

    Oyster Bay, Myrtle Beach. Hit a very long drive on one of the holes there, a bit off to the right and close to a pond. Wandered that way and saw a gator sunning itself within munching distance of my ball. Kept walking.

    Don't fuck with a gator.

    It's egg-laying season for Gators from South Carolina to Florida. They lay their eggs in the mudd near the edge of the pond, and hang around until they hatch. Most smart people in the South know this and don't tempt fate.

    So what's the golf course's liability here? Anything?

    I don't recall ever signing a waiver when I've played a course with gators around.
