S.C. deputy filmed slamming teen girl out of desk, dragging her away

    Swear to youknowwho, I gave a take-home mid-term to one of my graduate sections last week. Made 'em submit via a plagiarism checker. Now the instructions said, and I quote, "Your responses are to be your own thoughts and your own words." And of course there are the obligatory passages in the course syllabus re: plagiarism.

    One of my submissions, 89% of it was directly cut-and-pasted from various websites. And when I say cut and pasted, I mean cut and pasted. Here's the kicker: I have a request from this student for a letter of recommendation! Oh how I am tempted to accommodate!

    Too bad the student's a grad student. You could deprive them of a scholarship.
