Do they have to remake everything?

I hate remakes, but I could see Brand pulling this one off.

Agreed. If anyone can do it, it's him.

Is Michael Caine playing the Sir John Gielgud role?

Nick Nolte, Jennifer Garner, Helen Mirren and Luis Guzman are in it.

I can't imagine a cast like that shitting the bed.

At least this one won't have a dog like Liza Minnelli in the female lead ...

I'm afraid to check the link and find out Nolte is playing the Gielgud role.

He's not. Nolte plays Garner's father. Helen Mirren plays the Geilgud role.

Greta Gerwig, who was in Greenberg, plays the Minnelli role.

    Not sure who Guzman plays.

Not sure I agree with that. They did a sequel for chrissakes.

Jonah Hill's gotta be in this movie somewhere. Maybe as Arthur's bath toy.

Dudley Moore in "Arthur" and "10" was an amazing double up in comedy in the 80's (people thought that movie was about the other "Bo" but it was really about Moore and he was fantastic). With Moore and Gielgud there no need for any remake. Perhaps Mirren can replicate Gielgud's drool comments.

  12. They closed all of Grand Central Station's restaurants last Tuesday night for filming. Evidently Brand was quite an asshole to several folks saying hello ...
