i hate most sitcoms but Friends was generally very, very funny. My only complaint was that towards the end Ross became a shrieking caricature. He was quite annoying. i liked when seinfeld used to make fun of the show because it was so derivative.

The Seinfeld generation largely holds the Friends generation in contempt.

Adjacent generations . . . maximum conflict, guaranteed.

When did "Seinfeld" reference "Friends"? I don't remember that.

people here shouldn't make fun of his kids?

    ok.

but when you write publicly about your family, when you put the personal stuff out there like rushin does, you ask for it.

  6. No, you don't.
We're not feathers in the wind here. You can refrain from making fun of someone's kids just because it's decent.

Bingo. I've been arguing that here for almost four years.

I agree with the Friends defenders.

I avoided it for years because I assumed it was crap.

When I finally saw it, I found it to be really entertaining and funny -- except for David Schwimmer, who annoys me to no end.

Relax. Happens all the time on here. (For the record, I loved both shows.) Someone could start a thread about whether Babe Ruth or Lou Gehrig was the better baseball player and we'd end up talking about the mating habits of cats in the Bronx. :)

  10. Babe killed kitties in the Bronx?

    Don't delude yourselves.

    Friends sucked serious ass.
