Rush Limbaugh, who deployed comic bombast and relentless bashing of liberals, feminists and environmentalists to become the nation’s most popular radio talk-show host and lead the Republican Party into a politics of anger and obstruction, died Feb. 17 at 70.

Story omits racial minorities from the list of the victims of his relentless bashing.

I think it’s Premiere, which also does/did John Boy and Billy. They could be the natural fit to take over.

I'm curious to see what his estate entails.

The lead on the writethru may be worse. A merry brand of malice?

Laura Ingraham is the natural fit to take over. When I think of JB&B, politics doesn’t come to mind.

    Interesting phrase.
I wouldn't want to write that lead. In order to convey the full story, it must include his leading role in the growth of conservative talk radio, which presaged the prominence of Fox News; his bigotry; and his general cultural significance.

I could think of a thousand adjectives describing Limbaugh before I came up with "merry".
