    And the Bears still lost.

Brittney Griner is impressive. Now if Kim Mulkey can get her teammates involved instead of either too busy watching Griner or counting on her to bail them out of not playing strong defense.

Nobody is touching UConn. Geno is a turd personality, but as a coach, he's keeping them hungry and that's impressive given what they've already accomplished.

And Luggy, I hear you but it's not Pat who refuses to play Geno. It's the other way around, and that void is killing a golden opportunity to continue to grow the women's fanbase.

Pat Summitt on her best day can't touch Geno on his worst day in terms of coaching. Further, she should be happy she hasn't had to play the Huskies the past two years because the Lady Vols would have gotten their asses handed to them.

What UConn has done the past 18 months or whatever is ridiculous - they are making a mockery out of the rest of the country. Look at the current AP top 15 - the Huskies have played five of those teams in the past three weeks - FSU, Duke, UNC, ND and Stanford -- and has not even had to break a sweat in any of those games.

Summitt can't touch Geno now. A decade ago, Pat had the machine rolling in Knoxville much the way Geno now does in Storrs.

Auriemma has the upper hand without question. But that doesn't suddenly make Summitt an inferior coach. She didn't get to 1,000 wins by lining up all the local community colleges.

Summitt built a great program, is a great recruiter but also had the advantage of being in on the ground floor with a program that was willing to spend a lot of money to be great before the overwhelming majority of the country could have.

She is a legend and deserves all the accolades she gets.

But she is not 1/2 the game coach that Geno is and that point really isn't debatable. The scary thing about UConn is not only do they have the best players, they have by far the best coach, too.

USC's Michael Cooper in hot water for a press conference no-no after beating UCLA on Sunday:

"My opening statement is fuck UCLA."

    Against the UConn women, yes.
Against other teams, whether it's men's or women's hoops, not so much.

The crowd at the Tennessee-Georgia women's game in Athens tonight is bigger than the UGA men have seen all season.

Lady Dogs won 53-50. First time Landers has beaten Pat in a while.

Andy Landers has had a stout program in Athens for quite a while now. The men have had nothing the last quarter-century. Good to see some fans understand this.

They've slipped a bit the past few years, but are back to previous heights this year.

The fans have often turned out for Tennessee, though. They don't typically show up in any significant numbers for any other game.
