I love Colbert, and he did crush it that night, but it's easier to go up there and just rip the shit out of everybody and know that everyone is going to hate you afterwards than it is to go up there, roast the guy and leave on decent terms.

I can see that side of it from within the room. I guess the question is do you want to work the room or work the cameras. The pomposity in the room was left with a "how dare he" mentality because they're used to little jokes that don't really leave a mark.

Who the fuck decided Jimmy Kimmel was funny?

Because he's not, and never has been. Sniggering fratboy douchebag.

Starman I figure your benchmark for high comedy was Bob Hope.

Several cases of nausea were reported at the dinner, but it wasn't because of bad food.

So how exactly do you bring a dog to this thing? Is there a Correspondents' Dinner kennel that hosts everyone's pets? Do you slip a valet a c-note and pick the pooch up three hours later?

(OK, I'll feel stupid if that picture was in your house.)

The dog is Uggie, star of "The Artist" and one of my favourite movie stars. :D

My God, did I love her as a teenager.

And, she looks pretty damn spectacular still. Jealous.

My guess is that Starman thinks Hope was a rightwing nutjob for all his military pandering. The USO is an elitist front for the Koch Brothers!

You must obviously not know; otherwise, you'd be trying to track me down to kick me in the nuts for posting something so horrific.

I'm surprised they allowed Ms. Upton in. She could've hidden all manner of weaponry in her rolls.

    Nice robe.
