Well, that certainly defines operating from a position of weakness.

Jesus, how far has Jim Fassel fallen?

I enjoyed the hell out of the first season and followed the Tuskers every week. As good as they were, they still moved...I lost interest since then, what a joke of a league.

Do you realize who two of the other three coaches in this league are?

Try Dennis Green and ... Marty Schottenheimer.

In other words, Mr. Fassel is not alone.

In concept, I liked the UFL. Reality's a different story.

Jerry Glanville coached Hartford, so that's quite a quartet.

    I did not know that.

I didn't really either, ds. I just remembered that the league had some big-name coaches, so I checked them.

Did Birmingham ever have a UFL team? It's pretty much a requirement for every failed football league to have had a team in Birmingham.

I believe Schottenhiemer's first coaching job was in the short-lived WFL in the 1970s. The circle is now complete.

I think that's why they haven't folded yet. They may move the Las Vegas team to Birmingham (The Ted McGinley of Professional Football) for the championship game before unplugging.

    EDIT
: I confused Ted McGinley with William McKinley again.

Birmingham, with a dismissive snort, says you should be so lucky.
