What, no one watching this? California lead Veas 14-3 near the end of the first half. A few things:

Not sure if I like the reds' red shirts and black pants.

J.P. Losman is going to suck regardless of what level of ball he plays. In one four-play possession, he fumbled twice and threw a 6-yarder in the dirt.

Two sideline reporters, Kordell Stewart on one, and Anita Marks on the other. She got wiped out by a player running out of bounds, and two minutes later they went down to her. She sounded like Tebow must have sounded if you had been talking to him two minutes after he got drilled at Kentucky.

Any thoughts on the ethics of Kevin Blackistone doing commercials for Fan House? Also, guy got a sack and the play by play announcer (David Sims ... anyone ever hear of him?) said, "that sack brought to you by Fan House.com."

Looks like 8,000 tops in the stands.

You can't stop J.P. Losman. Best UFL quarterback since, well, Shane Boyd.

You're missing some really shitty football.

  7. The game's been good, presentation has been slick. It's decent television for a Thursday night.

Is Flutie no longer with ESPN?

We have the second TV in the bar going back and forth between baseball and UFL. No dog in the fight in the baseball game makes it easy.

You had to love Shane Boyd's reponse to Kordell Stewart on the sideline, when Stewart asked him how it felt to score the first touchdown in UFL history.

"Maybe I'll be a Jeopardy answer one day."
