Apparently got it from his wife. No matter how careful a sanctioning body thinks it can be in creating a bubble at the workplace, you're still talking about interaction with people outside that sphere all the other hours and days between events. It's a big hit to lose Jimmie Johnson, especially for his last trip to Indy. But what if it's three drivers next week? Or if the PGA Tour has a dozen guys out after Detroit? Like everything else, we don't know what that "magic number" needs to be. I don't have any idea how team sports can keep this from collapsing.

 

To your point, @maumann: The St. Louis Blues apparently have had multiple players test positive and have canceled workouts.

 

The NBA started the dominoes tumbling when one guy tested positive in March. There was little known of the virus at that time. Now, I don't think the pro sports much givce a crap how many people test positive, THE SHOW MUST GO ON.
