That's the first time I can recall watching a match where a player ran out of challenges, and it absolutely came back to bite them in the ass late in the match (Djokovic ball called out, making it 0-30 in a game he would be broken; replay showed ball in).

Would love to see Roger win one more major before he hangs it up. His chance of that just rose considerably.

Would be broken? You mean "was broken." [/annoyingeditor]

This opens the door widely for Murray. He'll have the home crowd pulling for him, and he's playing well after winning Queen's Club. Be stunned if he doesn't take this.

Does men's tennis need an American multiple-Slam winner to be successful? It seems to be plenty popular without one.

Also, after Querrey lost that 12th game in four points, then went down 3-1 in the breaker, including an easy overhead that went long, I thought he was done. And if he lost that set, in my mind, he was done. But the guy pulled it off. Great win, and great run for American men in this tournament.

    No. It's a global game.

It needs an American multiple-slam winner for American TV ratings to be something other than shit, but that's not causing any sleepless nights anywhere on the Tour.

Well, it was 102 games from the record but still another Isner epic. Only this time he lost the 5th set, 19-17, to Tsonga.

Tsonga was down 2 sets too.

    264 minutes.

Isner basically owes his career to James Van Alen, inventor of the tiebreak.

The man actually breaks his opponent's serve only 8 percent of the time. Your Federers, Nadals, Djokovics, Murrays and Ferrers do it 27-35 percent of the time.

Why can't he break serve ?

    He's got a great forehand.

    Junk ball.

    Moonball.

    Drop shot.

    Short angle.

    SABR

    Chip and charge.

    Change speeds.

    Do something different !!!!!

I don't know that his forehand is all that great. Especially in today's game. Seems like he sprays the inside-out wide right almost every time.

As for chip and charge, he's a volleying disaster.
