Only seven hours and change until the Pats and Jints meet on a large field in suburban Phoenix to determine which organization is the champion of Northeastern professional football.

So I've got less than seven hours to write a folo, hit the grocery store, grill some wings, slap BBQ sauce on them and head over to a friend's house. No problem.

If the NFL really wanted to hit its target demographic musically, it would have hired Jimmy Buffett for the halftime show.

And in our sad tidings department, for the second year in a row there's no Lingerie Bowl.

Some reporter asked Randy Moss earlier this week if this was the "most important game of his career."

Moss assured the probing scribe that it indeed was.

Are picks going to be made here, so members can be ridiculed later, as well as the Hype thread?

Well considering that the previous "most important games" in Moss' career were the 41-0 shitkicking the Giants distributed to his Vikings and the AFC Championship game two Sundays ago...

Prior to the new allegations coming to light, I thought that the Giants could beat the Pats. Now, I think that Team Hoodie is going to try to up a large number on the scoreboard in an effort to remind the league, its fans and the media who the Pats are and what they have done this season.

    New England 42, Giants 17.

Laurence Maroney was asked if he would like to see a rainy day (and indeed, there probably will be precipitation in the Phoenix area today).

Evidently, the questioner was unaware that University of Phoenix Stadium has a retractable roof that will be closed in case of inclement weather.

I am pulling for the Giants and Eli Manning.
Eli has been a leader and "galvanizer of men" for as long as I've watched him at Ole Miss and beyond.

    But my pick is:
    New England 38, Giants 24

A man far wiser than me about football says Patriots 44, Giants 10.

    I'm with him.

Should the Pats finish the season with an unbeaten record, will the 1972 Dolphins finally STFU?

No, HB, they and the Patriots will wind up doing appearances TOGETHER every time some team starts 10-0.
