    That's what SCOTUS should do, apply contemporary norms/needs, not this crap about how things were originally written word for word.

    Which is why I think the opinion is so good. In order to discriminate against being homosexual or trans, you first have to make a determination about the person's sex which is protected. Basically you can't do the first without first doing the second.

    A fair point. I’d have to chew on that a bit. The way I read the 2nd is that it’s the people’s check on a totalitarian state (or person in that state I suppose) and thus allows arms comensurate with that of a militia of its day.

    TBH, it’s possible people are not allowed enough arms based on the militarization of the police. It’s why I’m in favor of demilitarizing the police and in many cases disarming them.

    It’s correct decision, though I don’t know what this “make a better argument” stuff is about.

    Ending DACA is like rescinding a pardon eight years after the fact. The DACA eligibility window closed. If it were ongoing, Trump could end that, I’d think.
