    A lot of what you say makes sense, but I don't believe the looting would stop. These are people with an agenda, whether left or right.

    That's the most infuriating thing...that perfectly legitimate protests are being hi-jacked by agenda-driven assholes.

    Good point.

    LA riots lasted about a week in '92.

    Everyone is talking about 1968, when the riots came and went through the spring and summer.

    But 1967 was the long hot summer of riots everywhere.

    I think we're headed for more of the same with Trump in charge.

    But what's the agenda? What's the agenda beyond to make mayhem, cause anger and more division? What, exactly, is the purpose? Because, usually, there are "laws"/creeds, such as they are, governing even lawlessness.

    The head of the mpls police union sent out a letter to membership.

    Says due process was not followed in terminating the four officers.

    There’s more in the letter. It’s on.

    The protests are a human shield for the assholes. Suppose 100 people want to steal or otherwise cause trouble. On their own, they'd last five minutes before being rounded up. But if they meld with a crowd of 10,000 protestors, they can cause an infinite amount of trouble in the confusion as both the protestors and the police try to identify who's who. Those cops, and there are more than a few, who welcome the chance to start a little trouble of their own, compound the chaos in which lawlessness thrives.
