    One of my papers once ran a story about a local team being awarded a plague.

    Story, headline, cutline: The plague was everywhere. ... The plague looked like a plaque to me.

    It is changed now, but as you can tell from the link, the headline originally said:

    "Family cat saves Bakersfield boy from attacking dog"

    I'm always afraid I won't catch it when I type turd instead of turf. Nothing worse than the quarterback lying on the turd after a playoff loss.
