I'll be there four days. My plan is to watch from a balcony the first day just to get a feel for it, then hopefully run the second and decide from there.

With all the beer that'll be flowing, I hopefully will find some people to hang out with. Social lubrication, as it were. I'm sure that won't be tough. Still would be nice to have someone to watch your back and talk to in whatever quieter times we have.

This one looks almost as painful.

Both of the photos above are amazing to me.

For the record, I would never even entertain the though of running with the bulls. I like life, and I'm not about to trust my athleticism and speed against rabid bulls and people.

I grew up on a farm surrounded by cattle my entire life. You can outrun a bull, but not in a straight line. The real key to me, it seems at Pamplona, is to not lose your footing. If you go down, my bet is you're fooked.

Yep. That's exactly what happened happened to the two guys in my unit that day in the Azores.

The Festival has begun. I'm guessing Rusty is either there or is packing his bags.

Did anyone check to make sure the bulls were there that day?

I just reference my own earlier post:
I sit here and say "idiots" knowing full well if I was there, I'd be saying "hold my beer and watch this."
At least I admit my own weaknesses.

Rusty, print is dead. Smack a bull with the Internet.

They said they'd be there. That should cover it.
