True, but the Pats have the picks to spare, they don't want to spend the money and if Wes Welker isn't the kind of guy Belichick likes, then I've been living under a rock.

Which is what makes all the rumors about Randy Moss to Foxborough all the more mysterious ...

ESPN's reporting Willis McGahee's been traded to the Ravens for three draft picks -- two thirds and a seventh. Just like the Bears in the Thomas Jones trade, this makes no sense to me. Why would the Bills trade their marquee running back the moment they finally address the offensive line?

Even worse, they traded him to the frickin Ravens. Dammit.

    Fred Jackson and Shaud Williams

with Anthony Thomas and Daimon Shelton on the free agent market.

  5. Wow. Anybody have any thoughts on what they're going to do now? How are they going to keep pressure off their questionable qb situation?

It makes sense b/c he's in the final year of his deal and Rosenhaus wants big money and the Bills weren't going to give it. Plus all he does is bitch about Buffalo. Why keep someone that doesn't want to be there. The guy thinks he's a lot better than he really is. Maybe they'll package some picks and move and take the RB Lynch from Cal.

After a Super Bowl in which his numbers would have made him a contender for game MVP most years, Dominic Rhodes to the Raiders.

No shock here. This is what the Raiders do. They collect players who won Super Bowls with other teams in a vain attempt to bring some of that to their locker room.

Though I dare say this is a better signing than Larry Brown, Russell Maryland or Desmond Howard. He and LaMont Jordan sharing carries, with a bit of Justin fargas thrown in if he's ever healthy, could potentially be an effective, not great, running game. Get rid of Moss (seventh-round pick? Fine), draft JaMarcus Russell, and they will at least have been aggressive this offseason.

good deal for the giants, but it's just wrong for a.p. or anyone else to refer to droughns as the browns' only 1,000-yard rusher since 1985. i mean, these browns have only been around since '99, right?

it's wrong for the Giants to give up anything other than a stick of gum for Droughns.
