William Clay Ford said Marinelli may be back.

Someone on ESPN said he may be back as well.

Jay Glazer said he was gone.

Anyone and everyone on that Lions team should be released.

wade needs to take jason garrett with him when he's shown the door, which ought to be about 15 minutes after the game is over.

Maybe should be, but after he got re-signed to a new deal through 2012 at the end of last season, he's not going anywhere.

I'd hold off on the Jack Del Rio talk as well.

Think you're right on Jack Del Rio. Weaver isn't gonna give up on him, yet -- spent too much on him. He's got one more season, though.

    Second vote for Eric Mangini.

Let's start a list of potential replacement coaches.

    Cowher is one.

If I were the Cowboys, I might take a look at Hue Jackson, the qb coach at Baltimore. What he's done with Flacco has been pretty impressive. I also think some teams would be wise to see what a little consistancy can bring (Tennessee, Philadephia) and not pull the trigger on the guy unless you are certain your next coach will be better.

Coaching, yes. But Williams and Smith give whoever comes in good skill position players to work with.

If you're Detroit, trade your top 15 players for picks, cut your bottom 15 players and keep the middle 10 (move them out next year). The franchise reminds me of that "tree man" from Indonesia. Sure you can cut away the ugliness, the warts, the tumors, but until you get that franchise some antibiotics and clean out that entire system that helps the warts and tumors grow, the ugliness will always grow back.
