Been reading lots of papers on the train to and fro NYC during the last month. I think it would behoove us to laud some of the stories and/or packages we read in different publications and keep them all on one thread. Hopefully the mods don't mind this approach instead of us having start new threads every single time.

    So ...

Yesterday I really enjoyed a few things in the Washington Post:

    1) Norman Chad's column on being a college and pro football nut/couch potato and paying attention to uber-corny pitch lines in commercials during the games. It's funny and clever. The last nugget is especially funny.

    2) Great coverage on the Redskins. At least five stories and columns covering every angle, including Zorn's tirade against the rookie punter and FG holder, who iced Suisham before a missed 52-yard FG attempt, which would've iced the game. Thomas Boswell's column was sharp, written by someone who pays the fuck attention to detail. And some of the photos were top-shelf.

So, what stories have you read this week that made you glad you did?
