So you're asking why a move made by the Dolan-era Knicks makes sense?

A widely praised Sacramento draft is like a Mid-East peace agreement. It looks great the first day but in six months it is a disaster.

Cavs attempt to close gap with Derrick Rose; not much impact IMHO.

Might be decent "soak up some minutes" fodder in the regular season, at least if he stays healthy. Deron Williams 2.0. Hard to imagine he could stay on the court in the playoffs against decent teams because he's so awful on defense now.

If the Cavs can get him for $2.1 million for one year, which is the number being reported, I'd do it in a heartbeat. He's not what he was, but this seems like a no-brainer for the Cavs.

LeBron Come Join us ... unless you're already here in which case let me leave!

Sources: Irving asking Cavaliers to trade him

Guessing if Kyrie leaves, we're not going to see a fourth year of Golden State vs Cleveland in the finals.

Unless it's a blockbuster, or the Cavs have something else in the works, it'll be back to the LeBron vs. the World days of his first tour in Cleveland.

Does LeBron have a no trade clause?
Cavs choice is 1 year of LeBron with no Kyrie or multiple years of Kyrie with no LeBron plus whatever they can get for James.

Kyrie is under contract until 2020. The Cavs don't have to do anything.

    Which is dumber?

    A) Not wanting to play with Lebron James on the best team in the East.

    B) Believing the Earth is flat.
