Running Nathan's Famous Hot-Dog Eating Contest thread

AP NEWS ALERT

NEW YORK (AP) -- Joey Chestnut has won the Nathan's Famous Hot-Dog Eating Contest with a world-record 66 hot dogs, beating the six-time reigning champion from Japan.

 

OK, so AP didn't really send out an alert, as far as I know. Though I could see it happening.

 

The kid on the Spelling Bee is a moron. I would smack the crap out of him.

 

That guys tongue was firmly planted in his cheek. He made a comment about Googling great American heroes if Chestnut wins & seeing George Washington, Neil Armstrong, Lincoln, Taylor Hicks & now Chestnut.

 

What would possess someone to spend their childhood studying the dictionary?

 

Last year the comment that got me was "what Jordan is to gravity, what Beethoven is to music, Kobayashi is to eating"

Fortunately, I did not watch one minute of this thing, but this is the most nauseating thread I've read in a long time.

 

When Kobayashi ate his own puke my boss yelled "Now THAT'S a champion!!"

 

I had to watch it once. Figured this was the year.

And the dog-card girls, they must've wanted to puke the entire time.
