How bad is the Giants offense when Ray Durham is hitting cleanup?

And Feliz is 7th. Weird. Didn't Durham have a power surge last season? Still, 4th doesn't seem right for him.

Bonds singles in first at bat. Was behind 0-2, worked it full and got a hit off Peavy. Also, nice to see Zito already allowing a run in his debut.

They do in numbers (SP included), but not in regards to ceiling.

None of the Pirates' young major league talent has near the star potential of Weeks, Fielder, perhaps even Hardy.

According the Yahoo game tracker, Bonds stole a base?

Hardy's a nice player, but if a prospect can't even match his ceiling, that ceiling isn't far from the floor. Who the heck are you including there? Don Kelly?

Sportsline is saying the same thing. Maybe he really is in better shape this season.

  8. Just a quick note that my NL Cy Young darkhorse candidate Randy Wolf is pitching tonight. Capuano is going for the Brewers but I look for Wolf to win this game. He's 3-0 in his last three starts against Milwaukee and 2-1 career at Miller Park with a 1.30 WHIP and .217 BAA.

Wolf will also be the NL Comeback Player of the Year

So let it be written - so let it be done.

Chris, would this be Randy's third or fourth Comeback of the Year Award? Guy's always on the coemback trail.

Is Moddy on suicide watch? I'm watching the first inning of the Nats' game against the Marlins and it's 4-0 Marlins with one out in the first. They .... they're not good.

Will the Nats lose 100 games?

  12. Boof is off to a great start.

2 Ks and 1 pop out.

    He worked very fast too.

This is a big start for Boof Bonser. He needs to start off well. Winning breeds confidence with a good start.
