and started shaking my head.
My cover has Dont'a Hightower and, of all people, Marcell Dareus. looks like Bama had rolling covers again, maybe?

Golf in the afternoon in Alabama in July? Oy. That sounds awful.

 

It is at Bent Brook.

 

Oh, it is. But the tradeoff is that you can play golf year round. For every sweltering day in July-August, you get a nice 60-degree day in December.

 

And heat-induced renal failure. You get that, too.

 

Vandy's Robbie Caldwell was gold, Jerry. Pure gold.

 

I've heard from several folks down there that Caldwell made the absolute most of what his likely his only SEC media days appearance.

I think I still have some Wynfrey Hotel pens in my bag from my last trip down there, which was a few years ago. Now that I cover a Southern Conference school, I don't have to go anywhere. I just get the pleasure of a teleconference that starts at 8:45 and runs till 5.

 

I'm headed to our conference's media day next Tuesday. Oh boy!
