Just to keep them all in a neat spot. If someone takes out 10 or more people, it probably deserves its own thread.

I'm unsure if this even makes the cut since no one was killed.

According to this, we should be getting a new one about once a month.

But the good news is of the 8,775 people were murdered with firearms in the United States in 2010, less than 1 percent of those victims were killed in mass shootings.

Chris Kyle, an ex-Navy SEAL who wrote the bestselling book 'American Sniper' about his service in Iraq, was shot and killed at a gun range in Texas, multiple outlets reported Saturday night. A second man was also killed.

I don't even think that qualifies. Not a true public place like a school, mall or office. This can just be lumped into the 8,770.

But if everyone had guns, I'm sure they would have been safer. Maybe if they were trained more?

Only two rocket launchers at the buyback.

    Just two.

A "running gun violence thread"? Has it really come to this?

The person who allegedly killed them was reportedly a veteran battling with PTSD.

Because slogging through a thread with multiple unrelated pages to discuss a news item is far superior to actual on-point threads and discussions. I guess.

By the way, not how many replies. No, it has not come to this.

Whoops. Police say it wasn't a gun.
Turns out guns don't kill all people.
    Still a suicide.

Where in that story does it say a gun wasn't used?
