  1. Hope he plays well - or plays period - this time next year when the PGA Tour comes to The Greenbrier.

Ok, Tiger did his thing. But even more exciting, so did John Daly! On the easiest course possible, he shoots 16 over.

    A 10 on the par 5 first hole. A 7 on a par 4. A 7 on a par 3. A pair of sixes. A 51 on the front nine. Holy shit.

I feel 80 percent sure that I could have done that.

Of course the best thing about Daly's round is not the number at the turn, but the number at the end.

    A Double (Pre-Lapband) Daly: 88.

At the same time news comes out about his new reality show. Nicely done, JD.

71-61 in 2005. Tied Billy Mayfair's course record - the one Billy set with the insane 27 on the back nine.

Geez, his 65 today gets no love though? :)

A 65 that easily could have been 62.

And he was unhappy with how he played. Had to hit two approaches from another fairway.

Just saw the Nationwide leaderboard this week and David Schultz is in a tie for third. His dad is Ed Schultz. David was a great all-around athlete in Fargo - won a state title at quarterback - and a star golfer at TCU. When he was in school his dad was still a notable conservative radio guy, now of course a liberal. Ed was actually a great athlete himself, led NAIA in passing when he was at Moorhead State.
