Only if Haddadi gets into foul trouble. It won't be close, but it won't be that bad, either.

I'm trying to decide which is Canada's worse loss -- Lebanon or New Zealand.

Well, New Zealand beat Lebanon by 32, so I'm guessing the Lebanon loss is significantly worse.

Listening to Fran Frischilla as color commentator is like being locked in a room with your 90-year-old grandmother-in-law and listening to her bitch for 3 hours about how these kids today are so lazy, need to work harder, no respect for authority, etc etc etc.

Those pesky Tunisians are hanging around against Team USA.

Americans lead by eight mid-way thru the third period.

So much for that. US up 25 with 9 minutes to go.

USA 25-25 Russia after the first quarter in their quarterfinal.

Lotta quick whistles, and just about everything the Russians are putting up is dropping.

US is up 44-39 at the half.

Diabolical from 3 (4 of 18) but bunches of free throws. There have been some odd calls, including an inadvertent whistle that killed a US fast break.

Concern level falling ... 70-56 after three. The Russian guy the Knicks have on their books has been anonymous since picking up his fourth foul.

Hopefully the Russian fan who brought his accordian starts rocking out at some point.

As long as Renato William Jones isn't at the game, the U.S. should be all right.

Full time, 89-79. Not the sharpest effort from the US, and if Luis Scola keeps playing as he is, that's reason for concern.

    U.S. effort, about C+.

The final score reflects the customary 20-point USA-fucking by the FIBA refs.
