I just bought the third, and seventh, Simpsons seasons on DVD over the past few weeks(Helps me get packing done before I move. And, yes, I need a life.) I realized watching em that trying to name one episode as my favorite would be nearly impossible.

So, what better way to mark my 1,000th post than by starting a running Simpsons thread?

Just name your favorite episode, or episodes, scene, seasons, whatever..and why.

    I'll start:

I love Colonel Homer with Lurline singing "I wanna bag me a Homer."
Beverly D'Angelo's amazing. Beautiful, she can sing, and she wrote the songs.

My favorite episode is probably the softball ringers episode; I think "Homer At The Bat." I always thought it was cool that all those players, my childhood idols, were on my favorite cartoon.

My favorite line, which gets me to laugh uncontrollably any time, is when the Simpsons get a trampoline. Homer looks through the paper and gasps in excitement: "Tramampoline. Trambopoline."

You don't get to 36,000-plus posts without being a Simpsons fan.

I love the classics, but the one mocking the electoral process last year in which Nelson says "Ha ha! Your medium's dying!" was a grand slam. It might be my favorite just b/c it's so refreshing to see them produce a classic episode after 19 seasons.

Even though I love Stampy, a good 98 percent of the first 6 seasons was classic.

Do you find something comical about my appearance when I'm driving my automobile? Everyone needs to drive a vehicle.
